Nice 1970 with set of 5 pickups, including a rare set of Jazz pups. Saddle has been swapped out to the later style with fret, but looks like the original saddle is still in the case. Additional routing in the control cavity might have been to accommodate a changed switch, and looking at wiring looms for guitars both before and after, suggests additional wiring changes. In fact, we think this is a wiring harness from an Ampeg Dan Armstrong bass, modified to work for guitar. Lastly, the "other tuners on at one time" were likely the original set of Schallers, now changed to Grovers. Asking $4,995.
"It is almost impossible to find the complete set of pickups with a fine original example as this. Other tuners were on at one time. Pots dated 36th week of 1970. 9.4 lbs.
JB(Jazz Bass), JT(Jazz Treble), RT(Rock Treble), CB(Country Bass) & ST(Humbucker.) All tested. Original perfect hard shell included. We ship World Wide." |
