Back again in 2023 is the Steve Earle guitar, currently on offer at Dayton Vintage Guitars & Amps for $9,989.
1969 Dan Armstrong Plexi Clear previously owned by Steve Earle, near mint, original hard case. Sustain...very few made, interchangeable pick-up. One of the coolest guitars made.
We came across this guitar again in December 2016, currently being offered by Nashville dealer Carter Vintage Guitars for $3,750. Seems to be in really nice condition. Seller said "Part of the Steve Earle Collection, this Ampeg Dan Armstrong guitar is a fantastic playing and sounding instrument. The plexiglass body is lively and the pickup sounds phenomenal. The guitar features a removeable pickup, volume, tone, and 3 way tone circuit."

This guitar came up for sale in November 2013 and was being offered at $3,999 by NYC dealer Rivington Guitars. Serial number was confirmed by e-mail. Here's the description...
"Vintage Original 1970 Ampeg Dan Armstrong Lucite Guitar.  A remarkably clean and all original example with the original case and extra pickup.  This one is a great find for the player and collector alike.  Has a nice slim neck that feels incredible.  It is a super smooth player with low action all the way up and down the 24 fret rosewood board. Currently has the rhythm/treble pickup installed and it sounds incredible.  Has additional original pickup in case."
