A289D
This Dan Armstrong guitar came up for sale awhile ago, not sure where I found the pics. Only reference I have is a prior owner's name stenciled on the side of the case - 'Miramon Dorman.' This is an early example based on the slot-style screws holding down the bridge plate. Looks like the original pickups are gone and replaced by a single reissue humbucker. Apparently Dorman's primary interest was Zemaitis guitars, because I also found this photo on the web when searching on the name...
"The collection of Miramon Dorman - an avid Zemaitis fan who sadly passed away May 2007."

A289D next surfaces at Maverick Music in 2007 with an asking price of $4,500 and is believed to be sold for around that level. Owner Phil Winfield is a prominent dealer in vintage Zemaitis instruments, which might explain the connection with Dorman. Photos courtesy Phil Winfield, all rights reserved.
A289D next comes up for sale on Reverb with an asking price of $6,000. Nice shot of the control cavity showing what looks to be a very original wiring harness (Stackpole tone pot, Mullard capacitor). The OEM pickup is in fact a Country Bass (CB) type and likely original to the guitar.
