This guitar came up for auction in April 2012 and sold for $1,425. Very much a player-grade instrument with no case, a single pickup, and some modified cosmetics including a substitute truss rod cover and the Gibson-style speed knobs (begging the question of how these force-fit knobs fit on the half-round volume and tone shafts). Note the slot-style screws holding down the bridge. This may have been one of the very last guitars with this feature.
Turns out the buyer of the eBay auction is a dealer, because the guitar quickly shows up on the Eddie Vegas site with a $2,350 price tag, but this time comes with a newer HSC and also sports a recent setup.
"This is an Animal. Big Fat Neck, Been Played it's whole Life..... It is a player guitar, non orig case, pots changed.. Pro Setup just done.... Look at it, I don't know every little part on these etc, and don't really care. It's a player.. I Play Players! The pickup is Rock Treble (which was the standard pickup used in these). Most of it is original...it's also not $3500+"
