A755D
This modified Dan Armstrong came on the market in June 2014 and sold for $760. In addition to the EMG pickup and Kahler trem system, the guitar has also had some repair work done to the headstock. Just for the record, it takes a lot of force to break a hard rock maple headstock...
"1969 Ampeg Dan Armstrong Lucite Guitar. S/N A755D. Let me start by saying, whoever did the work on this, did an incredible job!!! Mods: Added Kahler w/ locking nut ( missing arm), EMG Select passive pickup. Looks like the top half of the headstock must have been damaged, so the top half only was replaced. It is slightly larger than stock. The front of the headstock & back of neck were refinished. Super pro job. No other breaks, cracks or structural repairs. Two Schaller straplocks, one original strap button. All of that being said, this is a KILLER playing & sounding guitar. Low action. Stays in tune better than stock. Highly figured Brazilian board. A few scratches (normal for these) and a small nick in the lucite ( see pic). Great, unique guitar for CHEAP!!! Dare to be different!! Aftermarket gig bag included."
