"Up for grabs is a 1970 Ampeg Dan Armstrong Bass. This is the short scale model. I bought this 6 months ago from a reputable dealer. The bass is in excellent condition for being 45 years old. The neck is in good shape and very smooth for playing. The action is set up low and the fret board is in great shape. Tuner pegs work great. No dings or deep scratches on the body. I had it set up before it was shipped. The bass has the deep bass pickup, as far as I know. It has a very low smooth sound and gets a little growl when you hit the switch to the left position. No noise in the electronics. The serial number is D2081A. I looked the serial number up & this is a 1970. The bass is in a smoke free home. I bought a Gator hard shell case for the bass which is included in the sale. Getting older and I am thinning out some of my basses."
