Decent player-grade Dan Armstrong, which was offered by Olivia's Vintage and sold at auction for $1,090 in March 2012. Bass has the typical finish flaking on top of the pickup, but what's really unfortunate is that someone drilled numerous holes in the horns to apparently relocate the upper strap button. The original lower strap buttons are also gone. Still a very decent bass and the condition issues were fully reflected in the price.
"Olivia's Vintage would like to present this original 1970 Ampeg Dan Armstrong Lucite bass. It has a great playing neck with great frets. It's all original with the only exception being the washer underneath the jack nut. It's also 100% complete along with its original hardshell case. It's in great shape with some extra screw holes from relocation of the strap buttons, chipped coating on the pickup, and other cosmetic wear. All electronics work and sound great."
