This is a very clean example of a 1969 DA bass sporting its original thumb rest, OEM case, and a non-cracked pickguard. It also has the slot-head screws holding down the bridge plate, which is consistent with the early serial number basses produced in 1969. Another unique feature to this bass are little aluminum fins added to each of the control knobs, which add a space-age look to the electronics. We're assuming that the fins were press-fit into the existing slots in the knobs, and would probably come right out again if you wanted to go back to the original look.
The only flaw to speak of is an extra screw hole in the upper horn where someone had mounted a strap button, and one of the lower strap buttons is missing. Other than that, this bass is in excellent condition and seems priced to move at $1,500.
