D995A
Here's a very interesting bass which has been modified with a new bridge assembly and metal pickguard. Came up on Ebay in October 2015 with an asking price of $1,595. Great set of pics from the seller, wish everyone would take the time to do this as it really helps the selling process.
"Here's a 1969 Ampeg Dan Armstrong bass. This guitar is in good condition for a 45+ year old instrument and has light type of play wear. It is all original, except for the bridge. It has a different pickguard and knobs, but also comes with the original ones and the thumb rest. It is stamped on the neck D995A which dates to 1969. The body and neck has light play wear with some small micro scratches - it's pretty clean. It has the original frets and they are in decent condition. The pickup is original and the pots date to the 20th week of 1969."
"It has just been deep cleaned and detailed. The front, back, sides were waxed and buffed with a high grade carnuba wax. The fingerboard was cleaned, buffed and moisturized with an instrument grade lemon oil. It was set up with fresh strings, adjusted and plays very nicely. All the electronics work well. Comes with a non- original hardshell case as seen in the pictures." |
