This pickup came up for auction in January 2016 and quickly sold for its $100 asking price. Doesn't seem to be any visible markings, other than the letter 'B' cast into the bottom, but no question it's a vintage pickup for a Dan Armstrong. Deep cracks in the potting material make you wonder if any of the windings have been pulled apart, but the cracks seem to be below the plate and maybe there's a good chance it still works.
What also makes this interesting is what looks like an OEM thumb screw still attached to the pickup. Thumb screws are impossible to find and worth a good bit on their own. |
