"DanElectra"
Here’s a pretty cool hybrid axe, which you can read all about below. Sold for $500 on July 7, 2011, which probably isn’t a bad deal at all.
"This guitar started out as an Electra DA copy I bought back in 1994. Over the years I acquired an original Armstrong neck and knobs and gave all the parts to luthier Paul Unkert (best known for his work with Kramer and specifically EVH) but who also worked at the Linden Ampeg factory where the DAs were originally made. The guitar has Schaller tuners, a Seymour Duncan JB pickup, stop tailpiece, tune- o-matic style bridge, and a custom made semi flat black pickguard and truss cover. It has a Misfits pick used by Doyle glued to the headstock for added mojo. The pots were modified to accommodate the Ampeg knobs. I use coins as strap locks but will include the strap and strap buttons. It has some scratching and dings but still looks and plays great. Comes with a padded gig bag. I will ship the guitar UPS and it will be very well packed. Shipping within the USA will be $50. Sorry but I do not feel comfortable shipping it overseas. Payment must be made using Paypal within 3 days of winning. Please ask any and all questions and I will answer the best I can. Thanks."
