Sorry guys it's SOLD! I found these photos and text on the DCX Sound website some time ago. This Dan Armstrong is notable for its tune-o-matic bridge installation. Other than that seems to be very original and comes with an OHSC. If you look closely, you can see that the case handle has ripped off and been replaced with a lot of strong looped through the anchors. These Ess & Ess case handles are notorious for being weak spots, so not a surprise.
"SOLD! 1969 Dan Armstrong Lucite (Plexi) Guitar. Iconic design with great looks and tone. From the Rolling Stones to Black Flag, many have appreciated the grace, beauty and power of these rare examples of American ingenuity. There have been two reissue series of this guitar; once in the eighties and one is current. This is the original and is by far superior to the subsequent reissues. It sports a maple neck with 24 fret rosewood fret board. It has some minor damage and modifications but has been restored as much as possible to its original condition. Lucite is a very dense material and contributes to an aggressive sound with lots of sustain. This is a real joy to play."
