This project guitar came on the market in February 2012 and sold for $1,000. The body, pickup and neck are easily worth that, so the buyer really can't lose at that price. Guitar needs new electronics, pickguard and strap buttons at least, but what's left doesn't seem to be damaged. The rusty slot-head screws holding down the bridge are also interesting. These type of screws were only used during the early part of the DA manufacturing run, so maybe someone took the bridge off at one point and lost the Phillips head screws, or perhaps they're just what Ampeg had on hand in 1970 when they needed to get a few guitars out the door. This guitar would have been one of the last produced with the original wiring spec, although all that is long gone in this example.
