A444D
This guitar sold for only $1,050 in February 2013, but it was probably hard for buyers to be more aggressive on price without a fuller set of pictures. That said, it's probably less than parts value.
"1969 Ampeg Dan Armstrong lucite guitar (#A444D) w/original Guild case, original Rhythm Treble (RT) and reissue Modern Drive (MD) pickups. Body is in great shape, no cracks in formica. The "Dan Armstrong" stenciling has been rubbed off, the back of the neck has finish wear, and the upper strap button screw has broken off as seen in the last pic."

Back again for auction in August 2013, with an initial asking price of $1,500. Guitar now has just the single RT pickup and Guild hard shell case. This set of pictures shows a missing strap button from the pair on the bottom, but the remaining button still gives you something to work with. Also, one of the bolts holding down the neck has been replaced with one that has a screw head. Overall, a decent player-grade Dan Armstrong at a reasonable price.
"This is a 1969 (serial # A 444 D) Dan Armstrong lucite guitar. It's all original except for the Gotoh tuners (original Schallers can be put back in, nothing was altered, no new holes). This is in good overall condition. There are a few issues, as you can see the neck has a few minor cracks at the heel which are repaired and stable, also one of the rear strap holders cracked off. No other cracks or repairs anywhere. Shows wear to the back of the neck, the Dan Armstrong wore off of the pickguard. The original electronics and pickup work perfectly. The neck is straight and the frets show hardly any use. The neck has a comfortable mid to slightly thinner C profile. The nut is 1 3/4", weighs 9.4 pounds. Comes with the original Guild case which is in good condition."
