Came on the market in July 2016 with an asking price of $1,750. Looks like someone darkened the back of the neck with another coat of lacquer, but otherwise seems like a very original 1971 bass.
"This all original Dan Armstrong Bass is in great shape. Plexiglass body nice & clean. Epoxy on pickup is good. Many of these old pickups have a sunken in pole bar or have cracking. This one is solid & is really powerful. The back of neck has a small band of discoloration possibly from a stand. There are a few small nicks on the top of the neck near the headstock. Has original Grover tuners. The fret board recently cleaned & frets polished & a new set of D'Addario Chromes installed. The only unoriginal detail is the case. It will come with a very sturdy brand new Gator case. Priced fairly. Lower than most on this site. 5 day auction. Thanks for looking."
